What pride is for you?
Best homemade chocolate chip cookie or a perfect cup of coffee in the morning?
Finding happiness from little things in the world is the ultimate gift to experience. Having a preference for one place over another can’t be justified. No doubt, each country, each aisle is magnificent in its unique way.
Not all fingers can be equal right? But each redeems to its importance. When you are a traveler, you ought to keep an open mind, always. Letting my spirit wander this time, took me breathing in the air of Toronto, Canada.
The city of Neighborhoods
When I was on my way to the main neighborhood, via limo service GTA, I discovered one the thing, something right out of the obvious, the busy city streets. Toronto is plush as a rose and prides itself to enclave diverse landscapes and city escapades as well. Trying to figure how much to travel and where to travel took me to bits, but the good people of Toronto were kind enough to talk to me (the stranger in their city) asking what places to visit.
Well, who can advise you better than the town folks?!
Seeing it as a larger territory let’s start with a music jam right away.
Those who love to experiment listening to music will be attracted by the musical charm of West Queen West (don’t worry that’s the correct name. why not hold your drink high and swirl with the jazzy beats. If you aren’t too thrilled with how packed this place might be you can try visiting underground music cubs and bands at The Annex too.
Don’t be surprised, when you see jazz, jazz, and more jazz or some classical hits taking you into the nostalgic era of the early 80s. Get the disco ball ready for the real punk rock and roll ambiance.
Travel from One Park to Another
Who’s in for street hockey, baseball or a Frisbee run? Despite the urban way of life, at weekends I got to see families’ hanging out in the late summer sun, soaking up vitamin D as much as possible. Before winter arrives with a sudden bang you need to visit the ample green and take a fresh dose of air from time to time too.
Riding all day in limo sure sounds fun but Dufferin Grove Park proved to be a good stretch for m restless soul. Kids running and screaming around the sand to build castles, a playground accommodated with the pool area, a multipurpose sports field and well honestly there was a lot more to see from what people kept telling me.
Oriole Park is quite a comfortable zone for adults and their love for tennis and baseball. Who could have thought Toronto’s home to national park themes?
Are you Hungry yet? I am!
Okay after a short few hours, my stomach is acting up (not from the butterflies) but because I need to feed this monstrous part of myself (just kidding, I’m very sweet in reality). I wasn’t aware of any good restaurants, Google is helpful no doubt, but I prefer to rely on good word of mouth. So I asked the chauffeur, being currently on a ride on Limo Service GTA if he knew a good place for a finger-licking menu and he took me straight to a swanky meal pronto.
The creative plating at La Bettola di Terroni made my mouth water just from looking at it. Yes, I love my food too! This little popular Italian chain in Toronto is famous for its old southern style Italian recipes, and its turn out my chauffeur was an Italian himself!
The homemade pasta was moist enough and well not rubber-like at all here! It was a good decision on my part, thanks, Gavin!
I never believed it until I saw it with my own eyes…
For the last stop of the day, I had to choose the place carefully, again, I was suggested to visit museums. If you guys don’t know already, then remember this; museums in Toronto stand out for their singularity.
They are fascinating and catches the eye of the observer right away. So it seems I could fit the tour to two of the most amazing ones. The Royal Ontario Museum depicts history like no other. Dating back to thousands of years, it had some of the cool displays I had seen so far.
The second museum of the day (but no the last one) was Aga Khan Museum. The indicative art collection from the vast lands of Spain and Africa, it was an intriguing experience.
Is it what adrenaline feels like?
Well, that’s for the day on one of the quickest stops I made in a short amount of time I got in Toronto. It is a guiling city priding itself, something that is well deserved!
