Which Phone Companies Carry the Widest Network?

by Soft2share.com

With cellphone ownership becoming a norm, phone companies are working harder than ever to try and distinguish themselves from their competition. Every company claims that it has the best coverage, the best prices, or both; so it can be difficult to determine which company may be the best option for your own phone needs. If you are thinking about switching phone carriers, selling a used iPhone to AppleShark, or giving business to a phone company for the first time, here is a list of the four phone companies that carry the widest network.

Verizon Wireless
Verizon Wireless takes pride in providing its customers with the widest network within the United States. Covering over 97 percent of Americans, Verizon is one of your better options if you want consistent and reliable coverage in the United States. If you travel abroad on a regular basis, however, or plan to do so in the future, Verizon may not be your best choice because it is only carried in a few select countries outside of the U.S.

T-Mobile
T-Mobile is second in popularity next to Verizon Wireless, mainly because it covers less citizens within the United States. This phone company, however, provides a wider global coverage, being carried in over 120 countries, and destinations around the world. T-Mobile’s coverage within the United States isn’t too shabby, as well. The phone company provides coverage to over 200 million U.S. citizens. T-Mobile is also the phone company that powers MetroPCS.

AT&T
AT&T is another phone company that provides a wide range of coverage for its customers. Covering nearly 280 million citizens within the United States, AT&T is just as popular of a choice for a phone provider as Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile. AT&T has a wide range of coverage outside of the U.S., as well, providing coverage in almost every country around the world. AT&T is also the phone company that powers Cricket Wireless.

Sprint
Like Verizon Wireless, Sprint is only carried in a handful of countries outside of the United States. Within the U.S., however, Sprint provides its customers with a decent amount of coverage. It is the third largest network within the United States, and reaches more than 275 million people nationwide. Sprint is also the phone company that powers Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile.

If you’re interested in switching to a new phone company, choosing among Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint would be your best bet for getting the best coverage. Do some research to see if you can get a better deal for your phone service. It pays to know who’s on top of their game.
