Municipal snow operations and private-property snow service are not interchangeable systems. It is what happens from the street inward.
The Curb Is Where Two Systems Stop Being One
The transition between a public street and a private property can be one of the most operationally awkward points during a storm.
Municipal crews need to move snow off the travelled roadway. Private contractors need to maintain access to the property. Those jobs can physically meet at the same driveway entrance without being coordinated with one another.
Why the Driveway Can Be Blocked Again
Road plows typically move accumulation toward the edge of the roadway.

Those questions should have answers before the first storm.
Document What Changed Between Visits
GPS and photo service logs can provide useful context at responsibility boundaries.
A photograph showing an open entrance at one time does not prove that the entrance remained open hours later. Conversely, a later photograph of a windrow does not necessarily mean the original private clearing was missed.
Time-stamped service records can help distinguish those situations.

Residents may still be unable to reach that street safely from their own front door.
