LED Lights Description

Router Link LED

The connection between Netgear N300 and your existing WiFi router.

  • Solid green indicates the best connection between your devices (router and the range extender).
  • Solid amber indicates a good connection.
  • Solid red indicates a poor connection and if you see hardly any LED lights then it means that there isn’t any connection.

Client Link LED

This shows the connection between your computer/laptop and the range extender.

  • Solid green indicates the best connection.
  • Solid amber indicates a good connection between your devices.
  • Solid red indicates the poor connection and if there isn’t any LED, that means there is no connection established between your devices.

Power LED

  • Solid green lights indicate that your range extender is power on properly.
  • Solid amber indicates your extender is still booting.
  • And if it is off, it means that your N300 extender is powered off.

WPS LED

  • Blinking green indicates that the WPS connection is progressing.
  • Solid green lights indicate that WiFi security is turned on.
  • If there are no LED lights (solid or blinking), it means that there is no security enabled on your range extender.

How To Setup Netgear WN3000RP-200PES (N300) WiFi Range Extender?

  • Connect with WPS.
  • Connect with web browser setup.

You can use any one of the above-mentioned methods for the installation of your Netgear device.

To use WPS (WiFi-Protected Setup) to connect the Netgear N300 extender to your existing WiFi router:

  • Hit the WPS button on your range extender.
  • The power LED lights on your range extender will blink.
  • Within 3-4 minutes, hit the WPS button on your existing WiFi router as well.
  • Unplug your Netgear WN3000RP-200PES (N300) WiFi range extender and move it to a new location.
  • Plug it into a wall socket.
  • If the power lights on it don’t light up, press the on/off button.

When your N300 range extender connects to your main WiFi network, the WPS LED on the extender illuminates solid green and the router Link LED will blink. In case the Router Link LED does not lights up, then try again later after a couple of minutes. And if it still does not lights up, consider connecting your range extender using web browser setup.

Web Browser Setup

  • Use a WiFi network manager on your computer/laptop and connect it with Netgear_Ext (default WiFi network of your range extender).
  • Once done, launch a web browser in your connected device.
  • Type mywifiext.net (for Windows PC) in the address bar field of the internet browser.

Note: Mywifiext.local the web address that is used for configuring Apple and iOS devices with the Netgear range extender.

  • Hit Enter on your keyword and when the new extender setup page displays, click on the new extender setup button – complete all the required fields on the extender setup screen and hit the next button.
  • After that, click on WiFi range extender button and when your N300 searches for the available and active WiFi networks in your area – select a network name whose range you wish to extend and after that, click on next.
  • Type the WiFi password in the password/network key field and click on next.
  • Connect your WiFi-enabled devices to the range extender and click on continue.
  • Now, complete the registration and at last, click on finish to complete the setup process of your WiFi range extender.
