Using OnePress Social Locker
1 Plugin Installation
You can start by installing the free version of OnePress Social Locker plugin. You also have the option to try the premium version for 7 days and purchase it if it works for you.
2 Plugin Usage
Go to the OnePress Social Locker plugin dashboard which you can find on the left side of the main dashboard.
In the above image, I have created multiple lockers depending on the content which I want to lock. The Social Locker and Sign-Locker comes by default. To lock the content, you just need to insert the content between shortcodes. In the below image, I have locked a Vimeo video by inserting it between the Social Locker shortcode. Even you can do badoo sign in login to have fun all the time.
3 Customizing the Locker
Go to the OnePress Social Locker dashboard and click on the edit option below the locker you want to modify.
Now you can change the message that appears on the locker and also change the theme and choose among multiple overlap modes.
The social sharing buttons that appear in the locker can also be easily modified as per your requirement.
The live preview mode makes it very easy to see the changes you make.
And when you are satisfied, you can save the locker and start inserting the shortcode to lock the content on your website.
4 The new Sign-In Locker
Recently, the Sign-In Locker feature has been introduced in OnePress Social Locker, which collects the email ID’s of users and grows your subscription list.
The Sign-In Locker asks the user to sign in to your website using various social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Google, and LinkedIn). You also have the option to ask the user to manually enter the email ID to sign in and access the locked content.
Since you have the email ID’s of the users, you can send newsletters your subscribers and add more to your website’s traffic.
5 Stats & Reports
The Social Locker is equipped with an advanced analytics tool that tracks the interaction of the user with the locker. It shows the method used by the user to unlock the content and also shows users who skipped the locker by using the close icon or waited for the timer to complete.
You can check the stats and reports of different lockers separately.
Using the OnePress Social Locker more effectively
OnePress Social Locker by itself will increase your website traffic, but I will show you a technique that will help you add more to your traffic.
In this simple method, we’ll be using the benefits of the Sign-In locker in the Social-Locker by asking the user to not only share or like the content but make him register to your website.
The premium version of OnePress Social Locker allows you to hide the locker for users who have registered on your website. I always display a custom message saying “Please support us, use one of the buttons below to unlock the content. Or you can register or log in if you don’t want to see this locker.”
The users who visit your website regularly will certainly register on your website to avoid them seeing the locker every time. Rather than just asking people to share your content, you can encourage them to register on your website.
