Note: Regular firmware upgrade and the factory reset process is required to unlock the Mesh WiFi features.
Connect your EX7300 Using WPS Setup
- Take your range extender and place it closer to your router. If it is already, then skip this process. But remember the range and reach should be normal. Range extender shouldn’t be placed too far or too close to your WiFi router.
- Plug EX7300 into an electric wall socket.
- Wait for a few minutes for LED lights on EX7300 mesh extender to become solid green. In case you see hardly any lights, push the power button.
- Wait for a couple of minutes. After that, on the side panel of your range extender push the WPS button. Hold it for few seconds and then release it slowly.
- After 1-2 minutes, press the WPS button on main your router as well.
When the EX7300 connects to your main WiFi network, the WPS LED on your Netgear device lights solid green and the existing Router Link LED lights up (solid green). If the LED lights on your router doesn’t light up or they are still blinking, try the WPS process later again after a small piece of time.
And if your main WiFi router supports the 5 GHz band, repeat Steps 4 and 5 to connect the Nighthawk X4 EX7300 to the 5 GHz band
