All the MMA fans would still have a faint memory of Suga, a name that was making headlines when he used to be at the top of his career.
Rashad Evans, which is his real name, is now planning to come out of retirement, just like many others have done in the past to satisfy his appetite for MMA fighting.
At the age of 39, it might have been a hard decision for him to make, but he is returning is a confirmed news now.
However, from the UFC News updates, it has also been confirmed that Rashad Evans will not be signing any contract with UFC this time and has opened himself to be associated with any other MMA production that might want to sign him.
It is not that Rashad never approached the UFC seeking a contract, but that the UFC is no longer interested in signing him out of retirement.
It is interesting to note here that Rashad retired back in June 2018, a few days after he lost to Anthony Smith via a knockout in the first round itself.
That loss was not Rashad’s first loss, but it was the 5th loss of Suga in a row.
He faced defeats even at the hands of fighters such as Sam Avley and Dan Kelly in 2017.
However, it is worth mentioning here that Rashad was one of the most impressive fighters that the UFC has ever associated itself with.
He has also won the Ultimate Fighter 2 eventy of the UFC and that was instrumental in escalating his career.
Also, Suga has tasted victories against the likes of Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddel, Chaell Sonnen, Dan Henderson, Michael Bisping, Qinton Jackson and others in his career.
Who knows that if it were not for the injuries that took away two years of his career, he would have been a lot different at present.
It would surely be interesting to watch him back into action.
All the events of the show emanates from the UFC Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States.
Much like the concept of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’, Dana White’s Contender Series also involves fighters who don’t have any association with UFC.
The goal is to scout talents and provide the deserving ones with a platform like UFC.
As a result, after every scheduled event, Dana White awards certain performers with UFC contracts.
After the UFC had landed a deal with FOX initially, The Ultimate Fighter spent a few solid seasons on the FX network and in a previous season of the show, popular Light Heavyweight fighters as Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen also made an appearance, which within itself was a major UFC news.
