    LET ALL THE INGREDIENTS COME TO ROOM TEMPERATURE

    To make your batter mix properly, you should always make sure that your ingredients are at room temperature. Softened butter and melted butter are two totally different things. The cake doesn’t combine well with cold butter; melting butter can also create problems. You should not leave eggs out for too long if you will keep them at room temperature before blending; it will make them combine with other ingredients smoothly.  

    DON’T SKIP STEPS IN THE RECIPE

    We often skip a few steps while following a recipe which can ruin the taste of your recipe. Make sure that you follow every instruction because, with each step, there are specific functions which are important to follow. Before you begin, ensure that you have all the ingredients which you will need during the preparation to avoid last-minute mishaps.

    PREP YOUR KITCHEN and arrange YOUR INGREDIENTS 

    Before you start, keep all the instructions in your mind and arrange all your ingredients on your kitchen counter. This will allow ingredients to be set at room temperature. This will also help you to make sure that you have everything you will need during your recipe preparation. If all the ingredients are in one place, it will be very convenient for you to get your hands on them. This will also consume less time if you have kept all of your pans, bowls and other equipment in front of your eyes.     Scoop Dry Ingredients

    It is essential that you use a spoon to scoop the dry ingredients from the bag for putting into the measuring cup. Compacting your dry ingredients can result in more than you need. With this technique, you can obtain the proper amount of each component for your recipe. Using the flat side of a butter knife, scrape the extra into the container. 

    Avoid filling the cake pans to the top.

    This is one of the most common mistake people make when baking for the first time. Always avoid filling the pan way to the top with batter if it’s your first time. The cake pan should have some space to give the batter some room for expanding and rising. With this, you can avoid overflowing. If you are left with extra batter, there is nothing to worry about; you can always use that in a variety of new and different ways. 

    Test with the toothpick

    To check whether your cake is made, do the toothpick test. To do this test, just insert a clean toothpick into the centre of the cake. If the toothpick comes out clean, your cake is ready. Your cake is not ready if your batter is still sticking to the toothpick. You need to bake it some more time.  

    Wait for it to Cool

    After you are finished with your baking, give it some time to get cool. Let it be as it is for about 5 to 10 minutes in the cooling rack or pan itself. To release that cake, turn the pan upside down. With this, the top of the cake will be flattened, which makes it easier to frost and decorate as you want.
