Both of these providers have different use cases and challenges. As lots of applications are built for Microsoft, but these are many other services that are not present in Azure but offered by AWS. With Azure, you can easily develop, manage, and deploy the applications and meet business goals. Azure offers per minute pricing model, unlike AW.
AWS is a cloud service platform that allows its users to use cloud platform and its various services like storage, delivery, computer, and others that helps them to grow and scale. As far as the comparison of both of these technologies is concerned then AWS
1). AWS uses EC2 or Elastic Compute Cloud to perform basic computation, data processing, and calculation operations. It also uses Kubernetes and Docker as an ECS or Ec2 Container service.
For computation, Azure uses virtual machines, and for software management; it also uses Docker.
2). For storage purpose where AWS uses S3 services to provide lots of storage, documentation, and tutorials. Through Glacier data, it offers archive storage.
Azure uses Blob for storage that comprises of blocks and uploads. It uses storage archive and storage cool to archive data from the storage.
3). For networking, cloud providers have to contact to the data centers through various products. For this, a virtual private cloud is being used by AWS, and it also uses an API gateway for cross-premises connectivity.
Azure also uses a virtual network for content delivery, VPN gateway management, and networking to get cross-premises connectivity. Load balances and application gateways are also used by Microsoft Azure.
4). AWS uses Batch, Beanstalk, Lambda, and container services for the application deployment process. It does not have many features for app hosting.
On the other hand, Azure’s deploying process is quite simple. The developers can deploy their apps virtually by using PaaS features. Through multiple deployment tools, cloud services can be deployed, and it includes container services, cloud services, and batch and app services.
5). As far as database services are concerned, then AWS uses RDS to manage relational database and DynamoDB to manage No SQL. Elastic Cache is also used by them for catching purpose.
Azure uses MySQL, SQL Database, and PostgreSQL to handle relational database and Cosmos DB to manage NoSQL. For catching process, it uses the Redis Cache.
The key differences between AWS and Azure are that AWS users can easily configure their own VMS, but Azure users may have to choose the virtual hard disk to create VM. AWS also offers temporary storage at the time when an instance is created and destroyed, on the other hand, Azure offers temporary storage through page Blobs. AWS also offers virtual private cloud, and Azure offers virtual network. The choice of provider will depend on service and tool requirements.
